Calling all cooks. We need your help in making casseroles, soups, baking cakes, pies, breads, cookies, etc. that can be frozen. You can bring them already frozen or fresh. We will be selling casseroles and soups that can be frozen, cakes, pies, cookies, or other wonderful desserts. The recipe does not have to be in our cookbook. If it is in the cookbook, please put the name of the recipe and the page number on your dish. If it is not in the cookbook, please attach a copy of the recipe. If it is a casserole or soup, please put directions for heating/cooking. Put soups in quart containers and casseroles in 8 x 8 or 9 x13 pans. Please bring your donation(s) on Thursday, November 15th. The proceeds will go to Ecumenical Ministries.
Mark your calendars now for the Annual Advent Event to commemorate the season of Advent on Sunday, December 1st in the Fellowship Hall following the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service. PW will furnish baked ham, rolls, and tea. Please bring your favorite holiday side dish or dessert to share and enjoy a special meal together. After lunch, we will all join in "Hanging the Greens" in the Fellowship Hall and Chapel and letting the children decorate the tree in the Fellowship Hall. At the same time, we will decorate the tree in the Narthex, hang wreaths, etc. in the Sanctuary.
The joint Circle Christmas Program and Luncheon will be Thursday, December 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Westminster Village. Jenny Chatman from the Presbytery will teach the lesson. We will also enjoy a delicious lunch and some special music. Invite a friend or neighbor.
Our PW will be participating in several mission projects this holiday season. We will collect gifts for Ecumenical Ministries Christmas Sharing Program for the elderly, and collect toys for the Ecumenical Ministries Gift Program for children.
